All JAYD swimwear styles are Chlorine Resistant! Our swimwear is made with 100% Polyester Fabric. The greatest news is that even our lining is 100% polyester meaning that your suit will tackle the chlorine better than any other brand.
Always remember to thoroughly rinse the chlorine out of your suit after being in the pool, especially if you're storing your suit away for any period of time.
To keep your swimmers looking fab, just give them a quick rinse in cold water—no soap, no fuss—and hang them out to dry. Whatever you do, please DON’T iron, dry clean, bleach, or toss your togs in the dryer (seriously, they won’t appreciate it)!
Heads up: Pilling can happen to any swimwear, so steer clear of rough surfaces like pool edges and concrete. Noticed some pilling? While we don’t offer replacements, a quick touch-up with an electric lint shaver will have your suit looking fresh in no time.
We recommend thoroughly hand rinsing and air drying your swimwear after every use. Please avoid using washing machines or dryers as these may cause damage to your JAYDs.
It's super important to rinse as much chlorine out of your swimwear as possible after being in the pool, especially if you're storing your swimwear away for any period of time.
We’ve got your back—literally! Our one-pieces are lined with premium black fabric to ensure full coverage, even when you’re rocking those lighter shades. So, no worries—our black lining keeps everything under wraps, no peep shows here
Our lighter swimsuit shades may appear darker when wet due to the nature of our specialised liner. This liner is designed to offer maximum coverage and prevent transparency, so you can swim with total confidence. No need to worry about see-through moments – just focus on your performance and enjoying your time in the water!
Our swimwear is dreamt up and designed in Australia, then brought to life by our amazing production crew in Vietnam. We’re all about being socially responsible, so we work hand-in-hand with our talented team to craft suits that are top-notch in quality and style!
Styles and Sizing
JAYD is designed to feel secure and supportive in the water, so the fit can feel firmer than everyday swimwear. Our Fit Education Blog has all of the relevant information you need to understand why the right fit matters.
If you’re between sizes, we recommend sizing up. If you train regularly and prefer a more locked-in, compressive feel, your usual size should work well.
For one-pieces, torso length is the most important measurement. Measure from the top of your shoulder, down through your crotch, and back up to the same shoulder, then compare this to our size chart.
Size is just a number — not a definition.
Our suits are designed for function first, so they will feel different from the fashion swimwear you’re used to. Sizing up doesn’t mean anything except a better fit for your body and preference. Go with what feels good, not what you think you “should” be wearing.
Still unsure? Take a look at our size and style guide for more info on how each of our styles fit, or send your height, usual clothing size, and the style you’re looking at to hello@jaydswimwear.com and our team will help you find the best fit before you order!
This is completely normal and by design. JAYD suits are made with a compressive, performance fit. They're built to stay in place during training, racing, and ocean swims, not just to look good on dry land. The fabric feels firm when you first try it on, but eases slightly once wet and moves with you in the water.
If you prefer a more relaxed feel, simply size up. Take a look at our size and style guide to see which size is right for you.
If you want to know more about the way our suits fit, take a look at our Fit Education Blog.
Most of JAYD one-pieces are cut with a high hip line, which helps create a little more room through the torso.
If you often find swimsuits short in the body, sizing up is usually the safest option.
Styles with adjustable straps, like Isla and Riva work well since you can lengthen the straps to add a bit of extra room. If you don't like the idea of a Tie-Back One Piece then we would suggest the Albi One Piece, Finley One Piece or Apsley One Piece.
Take a look at our size and style guide for more info on how each of our styles fit.
Most JAYD one-pieces are designed with a high-cut hip to enhance mobility in the water and create a longer, more flattering leg line. If you prefer a lower, more conservative hip cut, we recommend:
These styles sit lower on the hip for more coverage. The Riva also has additional height through the back for extra bum coverage.
If you prefer a cheekier fit, we recommend the following styles:
Zimmy – Our cheekiest one-piece. Best suited to girls with shorter torsos.
Albi – Features the highest hip line of our one-pieces and works particularly well for girls with longer torsos.
Finley – A great all-rounder with a flattering fit that suits a wide range of body types.
Siena & Soraya – Ideal for bustier girls. The thicker straps provide extra support while still keeping a flattering, cheeky cut.
Take a look at our size and style guide for more info on the cut of each individual suit style.
Fixed-back styles (Albi, Airlie, Apsley, Finley, Ibiza, Lennox, Levanto, Siena, Soraya, Tallow, Zambia, Zimmy) have set strap tension. They’re designed for performance and stay exactly where you put them through swimming, surf lifesaving, and other high-movement activities.
Because the straps are non-adjustable, getting the right size before ordering is slightly more important with these styles.
Tie-back styles (Isla and Riva) have adjustable straps, allowing you to customise the fit across your bust and back. This can be helpful if you’re between sizes or prefer the flexibility to dial in your own tension.
If you’re between sizes or unsure about torso length, tie-back styles are usually the safest place to start.
The Riva also features a slightly lower, more conservative hip cut and extra height through the back for added coverage.
For maximum support, look for styles with wider or multiple back straps. The Airlie has triple back straps and is specifically designed for tension distribution. The Siena has a wide back band with cross-back straps, and the Soraya has wide straps with a secure fixed back — both great for swimmers who want a bit more hold across the chest.
Most importantly, check where the suit is sitting on your hips. JAYD one-pieces are designed to sit high on the hip, this allows for better mobility and creates a longer, more flattering leg line. Take a look at our Fit Education Blog for more info on how to wear your suit.
If the suit is sitting below your hip bone, the torso can feel too short and the back may sit lower than intended. Try pulling the suit up from the hips and adjusting it into the correct position, then reassess the fit.
For most customers, this simple adjustment solves the issue without needing to change sizes.
If the suit still feels too short after adjusting, you may need to size up or check your torso measurement. Measure from the top of your shoulder, down through your crotch, and back up to the same shoulder, then compare it with our size chart.
